How to submit IGNOU Assignment?
Now, as you have completed writing your IGNOU assignment. The next step is to submit the assignment.
You can submit your assignments by Online as well as Offline mode as per the guidelines provided by your Regional centre.
Process of offline submission of IGNOU assignment:
To submit your assignments offline, you have to visit your study centre. Check the address of your study centre (mentioned in the ID card). You can directly go to your study centre before the last date of submission which is 30th March for June session and 30th November for December session (Submission dates may extend further).
If your study centre is far away from your home or you are unable to go to submit your assignments, you can send your assignments by courier to your study centre if they allow you.
Process of online submission of IGNOU assignment:
If your study centre provides the facility of online submission, you have to follow the steps below to submit your IGNOU assignment online:
- Visit the IGNOU’s official website of your regional centre.
- Navigate to the News and Announcements section.
- Next, press the link for the assignment submission.
- Now, to correctly upload your assignment, follow the directions.
If your regional centre asks you to submit the assignments via Google forms, follow the steps given below:
- Click on the google form link provided by your regional centre
- Login with your email id to proceed (use the same id you mentioned on the first page of your assignment)
- Fill the required details and upload the assignment file in PDF format.
Note: Important things you should keep in mind before submitting your assignment.
- Only handwritten assignments will be accepted.
- Attach a front page and question paper with each assignment.
- Do dot insert the stapled sheets in any file, submit only sheets tied with a thread.
- PDF of your assignment should not be more than 100mb in size.
- Do not put any password or access permission on the PDF.
- Rename the PDF as per the assignment code and enrolment number (follow the regional centre guidelines)
- Take a receipt of submission if you are submitting offline.
- Keep a photocopied assignment with yourself, or a copy of PDF.
How to check the IGNOU assignment submission status?
You can check the status of submission after a month of submission of your IGNOU assignments. To check the status, follow the steps below:
- Go to IGNOU’s official website https://isms.ignou.ac.in/changeadmdata/StatusAssignment.asp
- Enter your enrolment number and select the programme code.
- Click the ‘submit’ button.
- On the next page, a list with the submitted assignment codes will appear.
